Product Details

America’s National Capitol Building in Washington DC is a well-known symbol of the nation. However, many Texans view the impressive rotunda and dome of the Texas State Capitol in Austin as a proud symbol of their state’s history and independence. The Texas Mint has captured this iconic building on a silver bar. You can now purchase the 10 oz Texas Mint Silver Bar online from BullionMax.

Bar Highlights:

  • Each bar arrives individually sealed in plastic!
  • Refined by the Texas Mint!
  • Contains 10 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver.
  • Obverse features a replica of the interior design of the rotunda in the Capitol Dome.
  • Reverse includes a repeating outline of Texas.

While the Texas State Capitol in Austin isn’t the tallest capitol building in the U.S., Texans take pride in its height, which surpasses the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington DC by 15 feet. Designed in 1881 and constructed between 1882 and 1888, this building is the third capitol in Texas’s history. The previous capitol, built in 1853, was destroyed in the 1881 capitol fire.

One of the most striking features of the Texas Capitol is its tall dome. From the main floor rotunda, the view upwards reveals concentric panels that converge toward the dome’s center, where an 8-foot Lone Star is prominently displayed.

On the obverse of the 10 oz Texas Mint Silver Bar, you’ll see a depiction of the dome’s interior as seen from the rotunda floor. This design also includes engravings of the bar’s weight, purity, and metal content, along with the outline of Texas.

The reverse of the bar showcases a repeating pattern of the Texas state outline across its surface. This bar is part of a series that includes 1 oz and 100 oz versions, all featuring the same design.
