The obverse of the 2025 2 oz Silver Lunar Snake Coin features the first-generation portrait of King Charles III for this series. Designed by Dan Thorne in 2024, this left-profile image shows the King without a crown, marking a new era for the Lunar Series as it’s the first time a monarch other than Elizabeth II has appeared on these coins.
On the reverse of 2025 Australian Silver Lunar Snakes, artist Sean Rogers has created a distinctive design showcasing a coiled snake. The snake is set against a backdrop of lush foliage and a scenic jungle with a river and mountains in the distance, highlighting the natural habitat of the animal.
In Chinese astrology, individuals born in the Year of the Snake are believed to possess qualities such as wisdom, intuition, and a deep spiritual insight. Snakes are seen as thoughtful and perceptive, with an ability to navigate through challenges with ease.
