Each 2025 1 oz Australian Gold Lunar Snake Coin is offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins are available in individual plastic capsules, rolls of 20 coins, or mint boxes containing 100 coins. The 1 oz gold coin in this series is the only one with a limited mintage, capped at 30,000 coins.
The Year of the Snake, particularly the Wood Snake, is often associated with personal growth and innovative thinking. This symbolism highlights the snake’s wisdom and the wood element’s connection to development and positive change.
The obverse of the 2025 Australian Gold Lunar Snake Coin features the first-ever portrait of King Charles III. This is the first time a monarch other than Queen Elizabeth II has appeared on the Lunar Series coins. The left-profile image of Charles III was designed by Dan Thorne.
On the reverse side, the 2025 1 oz Gold Lunar Snake Coin showcases a design by Sean Rogers. The image features a snake coiled around bamboo stalks, with leafy foliage overhead, and will appear on all gold coins and the 1 oz platinum coin in this series.
