The 1904 issue of Morgan Silver Dollars marked the end of the annual production for this iconic series. From 1878 to 1904, new Morgan Dollars were struck each year. The 1904-O Morgan Dollar is also the last Morgan Dollar produced by the New Orleans Mint, which closed in 1909 and was not active during the 1921 production after a 17-year hiatus for Morgan Dollars.

The obverse of the 1904-O Morgan Dollar Coin features Lady Liberty in a detailed left-profile relief. This image was reportedly modeled after Anna Willes Williams. Liberty wears a Phrygian cap, adorned with a laurel wreath and a coronet crown, surrounded by 13 stars.

On the reverse, the 1904-O Morgan Silver Dollar showcases a heraldic eagle. Morgan’s design features the American bald eagle in a front-facing relief, with wings spread wide and talons gripping arrows of war and an olive branch for peace.
