The 1881 Morgan Silver Dollar was minted at four different facilities. The San Francisco Mint had the largest output, striking 12.76 million coins, while Carson City had the lowest production at just 296,000 coins. Philadelphia and New Orleans also contributed to the 1881 mintage, producing 9.163 million and 5.708 million coins, respectively.

These coins have a slightly better-than-average mint luster, with minor contact marks, some of which might appear in key visual areas. A coin graded MS64+ is considered to be in great condition for its grade, though it may not quite meet the quality standards of an MS65 coin.

Morgan, this image displays a bald eagle with wings spread wide, clutching arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other, representing the balance between war and peace.
