Product Details

Introducing the American Gold Eagle coin, a highly sought-after gold bullion piece from the renowned United States Mint. Minted each year for both investors and collectors, the Gold Eagle comes in three versions: a top-grade bullion coin and two collectible options—a proof or burnished coin. Currently, you can purchase 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins from various years online at BullionMax.

Coin Highlights:

  • Comes securely packaged in protective plastic!
  • Minted annually since 1986!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of pure gold.
  • Carries a face value of $50 (USD) backed by the federal government.
  • Front showcases Lady Liberty by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
  • Back features the American bald eagle family by Miley Busiek.
  • Coins in this listing are from random years and may have abrasions.

These 1 oz American Gold Eagle coins, featured in this BullionMax product listing, are from various years of release. The United States Mint first introduced the American Gold Eagle in 1986, and since then, bullion versions of the coin have been produced and released each year. Please be aware that Type 2 designs in the American Gold Eagle Series may be included in this offering.

These gold coins may exhibit abrasions, referring to a range of flaws resulting from improper storage or rough handling. Abrasions include light scuffs, scratches, or other contact flaws caused by coins touching each other, other objects, or sliding in improper coin capsules.

It’s important to note that the specific year of issue and the degree of abrasions on your 1 oz American Gold Eagle cannot be guaranteed by BullionMax. The coins are selected from our warehouse at the time of order processing, based on availability at that moment.

Following the American Eagle tradition, American Gold Eagle coins from the United States Mint feature Lady Liberty on one side and the American bald eagle

family on the other. However, the Gold Eagle has its own distinctive designs for each side, just like the other three metallic versions of the American Eagle Series.

On the obverse of the 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins, you’ll discover an iconic design in American coining history. Augustus Saint-Gaudens crafted this depiction of Liberty in a flowing robe with her hair down, walking out of the national capital with her torch held high, lighting the way into the future for America.

The reverse of the American Gold Eagle coin showcases the bald eagle design. Exclusively designed for the American Gold Eagle in 1986, Miley Busiek created this image of a male eagle flying over the family nest, where a female eagle keeps a watchful eye on the hatchlings.
