Gold coins are beautiful, collectible and make fantastic stores of value. But they’re expensive, especially lighter fractional weights. For the gold bullion buyer on a budget who wants to get the most bang for their buck, small gold bars are the way to go. 

We currently have in our inventory 10 gram gold bars from a variety of global refiners, all of whom are on the London Good Delivery-certified list. That means every one of these refiners meet the exacting standards for trading on the global gold market – and there are only 64 of them in the world (last time I counted).

Orders of more than one 10 gram gold bar may be fulfilled by identical products from the same refiner, or you may receive a variety of designs and refiners – it just depends on what we have in-stock at the time. 

About 10 gram gold bars from Good Delivery-certified refiners

Regardless of who refined and minted your 10 gram gold bar, it will have the following characteristics:

• In original assay packaging from the refiner or mint (learn why that’s important here)
• Minimum of 0.999 pure gold (more typically, 0.9999 pure) 

Furthermore, to comply with the Good Delivery rules, each bar will be marked with the following:

• The refiner’s stamp or logo
• The refiner’s assay mark
• The fineness or purity of gold must be indicated
• The bar’s weight and serial number must be included as well

Does it make a difference which refiner manufactures your gold bar? To some people, yes it does! To others, especially those more interested in boosting their bullion stack than a one-of-each, gotta-catch-’em-all approach to the world’s refineries, it does not. (The international bullion market association doesn’t care who refines the gold they trade, just that it meets their requirements.)
