New Hampshire was the third state to have its very own Goldback series, featuring designs with a Revolutionary War theme. Each New Hampshire 10 Goldback note contains, at its core, 1/100th oz of 0.999 fine gold overlaid with protective polymer. The result is an affordable and precise quantity of real gold bullion in a form suitable for trade, barter or just plain spending.

The team at Goldback Inc. partnered with Valaurum, the inventors of the Aurum gold note, to produce these Goldbacks, each of which:

contains a precise, micro layer of 24 karat gold protected by additional layers of durable polymer. This technology is used to create a way to physically own gold that is flexible, durable and easy to store.

In other words, they’re real gold in monetary form.

Each Goldback bill is uniquely serialized for verification and has a number of anti-counterfeiting technologies built right in. Valaurum says, “Our unique designs incorporate the same advanced, multilayered security elements found in paper currencies and government security documents.” Even better, they’ve never been successfully counterfeited.

Goldbacks might be the best (certainly the most affordable) way to get started owning gold in a secure, trustworthy and collectible way!

Note: Goldbacks are really challenging to keep in stock (we sold out in less than 72 hours last time) so if you want to buy gold bullion that’s affordable as well as convenient, we highly recommend you place your order right now!

New Hampshire 10 Goldback gold note highlights:

  • Contains 1/100th oz of fully-recoverable 0.999 pure gold
  • Flexible, durable and beautiful – imminently suited for collecting as well as spending
  • One of five New Hampshire Goldback denominations (1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 denominated in 1/1000th oz gold) featuring Revolutionary War-themed designs
  • The most affordable way for Americans of any income level to buy fractional gold

The design of the New Hampshire 10 Goldback bill

Here’s what the Goldback Inc. team has to say about the design of the NH 10 Goldback note:

Prospicientia, or Foresight, makes her debut on the New Hampshire 10 Goldback Denomination design. She is found sitting atop a cannon on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean with Fort Constitution (formerly Fort William and Mary) across the bay. This setting is historically important as it depicts the moments after New Hampshire’s Sons of Liberty took control of the fort. In response to an earlier but less famous ride of Paul Revere where he warned that General Thomas Gage was coming down the coast and would arrive in a few days to take possession of the supplies at Fort William and Mary, the people of New Hampshire had to do some quick thinking. They knew that it would be a race for the supplies. If the British forces reinforced the fort and took possession of those supplies then it would give them even more advantage in the days to come.

The Patriots of New Hampshire wanted to stop that, and maybe turn the situation and supplies to their advantage in the process. Demonstrating their foresight in a powerful way, they quickly organized and mobilized hundreds of men from the Portsmouth area, gathered more men along the way, and raced down to the fort where they overran the 6 men posted there. Once they had stormed the walls of the fort, despite facing down 3 active cannons and the musket fire of the half dozen men protecting it, they then took down the British flag, raided the fort of around 100 barrels of gunpowder, and a large number of supplies including muskets, ammunition and 16 cannons! They were able to do all this with less than a day’s notice from Revere and were done several days before General Gage even arrived, where he found the fort empty.

This event is arguably one of the first battles of the Revolutionary War, and it is an excellent example of foresight in action. The supplies captured here would be a boon to the war effort and would later be used in many of the subsequent battles. Prospicientia is depicted with a calm, yet triumphant attitude, because there is peace in being prepared and having foresight to do what is needed before the conflict arises. The caption below her reads “Look Forward.”  Present in the design are also the humpback whale, the USS Raleigh, as one of the original ships from the Continental Navy, and a variant of the “An Appeal to God” flag that was first flown on George Washington’s naval ships.
