The obverse of the 1901-S $10 Liberty Eagle Coin shows a left-profile portrait of Lady Liberty, designed by Christian Gobrecht. Liberty wears a coronet crown with her hair tied back. Surrounding her are 13 stars, symbolizing the original colonies, and the coin’s date at the bottom.

On the reverse of the 1901-S Liberty Gold Eagle Coin, you’ll find the heraldic eagle of the United States. The eagle holds the national shield while gripping arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other, representing war and peace. The “S” mint mark is visible, indicating its San Francisco origin, and the national motto is inscribed on a banner above the eagle.

In 1901, these $10 Liberty Gold Eagles were minted in Philadelphia, New Orleans, and San Francisco. San Francisco produced over 2.8 million coins, while the other two mints had significantly smaller outputs.

The 1901-S $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins available at BullionMax come certified in Mint State 64 condition, offering great luster and only minor imperfections.
