Crafted with .9999 pure gold, each coin holds a face value of $5 (CAD) and embodies the natural beauty and elegance symbolized by the Canadian maple leaf.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins arrive inside protective plastic!
  • 31st date in the Gold Maple Leaf Series!
  • Contains 1/10 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • Issued a face value of $5 (CAD) by Canada.
  • Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
  • Sugar maple leaf on the reverse.

The history of the maple leaf runs deep in Canadian culture, with Indigenous peoples recognizing its significance long before colonization. As a source of food and symbol of resilience, the maple leaf embodies the spirit of Canada.

European explorers and settlers in Canada, including Jacques Cartier in the 16th century, noted the presence of maple trees and their distinctive leaves. Cartier encountered the St. Lawrence Iroquoians who showed him the process of making maple sugar.

On the obverse of 2009 1/10 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins, you’ll find a dignified portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II, created by Susanna Blunt in 2003. This design, depicting Her Majesty without a crown, adds a unique touch to this collectible coin.

Meanwhile, the reverse of the 2009 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin showcases the iconic sugar maple leaf, symbolizing Canada’s rich natural heritage and national identity.

These 2009 1/10 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins are part of a renowned series that has expanded over the years, offering investors a range of options in varying sizes. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to investing in gold, these coins are a timeless addition to any portfolio.
