In the late 1990s, during the Y2K crisis, demand for American Gold Eagles soared to unprecedented levels, setting a record with 2.75 million 1/10 oz Gold Eagle coins sold in 1999 alone. This remains the highest single-year sales total for any individual weight in the series.
All our 2024 1/10 American Gold Eagle Coins are offered in Mint State 69 condition, which means they have full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor flaws. These minor flaws, if present, are limited to tiny contact marks or hairlines and are situated outside the primary focal areas of the coin. The Early Release designation is given to coins certified within 30 days of their issue by the mint.
On the obverse of these coins, you’ll find a stunning portrayal of Lady Liberty, a design created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. This front-facing relief features Lady Liberty with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other, framed by sun rays and encircled by a ring of stars.
Turning to the reverse side, the 2024 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coin showcases the regal American bald eagle in a left-profile relief, designed by Jennie Norris. This design captures the essence of the bald eagle’s natural beauty.
