Throughout its history, the 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle has been consistently available in the BU Series since its introduction in 1986. In comparison, the 1/10 oz Proof Gold Eagle made its debut in 1988 and has been available every year since, except for 2009. Meanwhile, the 1/10 oz Burnished Gold Eagle was only available from 2006 to 2008.
Among all American Gold Eagles, BU Gold Eagles have the highest mintages. Although the 1 oz Gold Eagle boasts the highest number of date marks, the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle holds the single-year record, with an impressive 2.75 million coins sold in 1999.
The obverse of these 2024 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coins beautifully showcases Lady Liberty. This design, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907, depicts Lady Liberty in a front-facing relief, holding a torch and an olive branch.
On the reverse side of the 2024 American Gold Eagles, you’ll find the noble head of the American bald eagle. This natural design was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris and was introduced on the coins in mid-2021 as part of the 35th anniversary of the series.
These 2024 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are in perfect condition, graded as Mint State 70. This means they exhibit full, original mint luster with no flaws. These are Early Release coins, received for grading at the PCGS within 30 days of their release by the US Mint.
