The front-facing portrait of Lady Liberty, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907, portrays Liberty walking toward the viewer with sun rays in the background. She holds an olive branch in her left hand and a torch in her right, surrounded by a ring of stars.
The reverse design of the 2024 1/2 oz Gold Eagle Coins showcases an American bald eagle. This design, created in 2020 by Jennie Norris and introduced in mid-2021 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Gold Eagle, displays the head of the eagle in left-profile relief.
