Product Details

The American Gold Eagle is a favorite among both investors and collectors. Every year, this series offers BU, Proof, and Burnished versions, catering to various gold enthusiasts. The certified version of this coin is particularly popular among those who value both condition and design quality. Today, you can find the 2024 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coins available in certified condition online at BullionMax.

Coin Highlights:

  • Each coin comes encased in a PCGS plastic slab!
  • This marks the 39th release of the American Gold Eagles!
  • Limited availability of certified coins!
  • These coins contain 1/2 Troy oz of actual gold content.
  • The face value of each coin is $25 (USD), backed by the US government.
  • They are graded Mint State 69 by the Professional Coin Grading Service.
  • These are First Strike coins.
  • On the obverse side, you’ll find Lady Liberty.
  • The reverse side features the majestic American bald eagle.

Gold Eagles are available in 1 oz gold and three fractional-ounce options. This has been the case for BU Gold Eagles since 1986. However, all four weights were not offered for Proof Gold Eagles until 1988. The Burnished Gold Eagle initially included all four weights in 2006, but after a brief hiatus from 2009-2010, it returned in 2011 with only 1 oz gold coins.

Each of these 2024 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coins comes in PCGS plastic slabs with a near-perfect grade. Mint State 69 coins maintain their full, original mint luster and might have a maximum of two minor detractions. These detractions are limited to minuscule contact marks or hairlines, primarily outside the main focal points. First Strike coins are those graded by PCGS within 30 days of their mint release.

The obverse of the 2024 American Gold Eagle features a depiction of Lady Liberty, a design dating back to 1907. It portrays Liberty walking toward the viewer, holding a torch and an olive branch, with sun rays at her back and a ring of stars surrounding the field.

On the reverse side of the 2024 1/2 oz Gold Eagle Coins, you’ll find the image of an American bald eagle. This redesigned visual was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris and first appeared on Gold Eagles in mid-2021, showcasing the head of the eagle in a left-profile relief.
