The obverse of the 2024 Reverse Proof Mexican Gold Libertad showcases the modern coat of arms of Mexico, along with 10 historic versions of the seal. The central modern emblem depicts a golden eagle in profile, perched on a prickly pear cactus and engaged in a battle with a serpent. Surrounding this are historic seals, including the 1524 Codex Mendoza design from the Aztec Empire.

On the reverse of the 2024 1 oz Reverse Proof Gold Libertad Coin, you’ll find the image of Winged Victory. Inspired by the Greek goddess Nike, Winged Victory is portrayed as an angel holding a laurel wreath in her right hand and broken chains in her left. She stands atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column with the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl in the background.
