The US Mint has offered the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle in three versions over the years. Since its introduction in 1986, the 1/10 oz Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) Gold Eagle has been released annually. The 1/10 oz Proof Gold Eagle followed in 1988 and has been available every year except 2009. The 1/10 oz Burnished Gold Eagle was only issued between 2006 and 2008.

All of the 2025 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins available here are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins are offered either individually in plastic flips or in protective tubes of 50 coins. The highest mintage for this coin was in 1999, with 2,750,338 coins sold.

On the obverse of the 2025 American Gold Eagles, you’ll find the iconic depiction of Lady Liberty from 1907. Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the $20 Double Eagle, this design shows Liberty in full-length, front-facing relief. She holds a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, with sunrays, stars, and the U.S. Capitol Building in the background.

The reverse of the 2025 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coin features the head of the American bald eagle in left-profile relief. This design, introduced in July 2021 by Jennie Norris, replaced the original reverse image as part of the series’ 35th-anniversary celebration.
