Coin Highlights:
The obverse design of the 2025 1/2 oz Gold Eagle Coin features a classic image by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, first created in 1907. This design shows Liberty walking forward, holding a torch and an olive branch. The background includes a ring of stars, sunrays, and the U.S. Capitol.
On the reverse side, the 2025 American Gold Eagle showcases a new depiction of the American bald eagle, introduced in July 2021. This design, created by Jennie Norris, shows the eagle’s head in profile and marks the first change in the Gold Eagle’s reverse design since its introduction.
American Gold Eagles are offered each year in both Brilliant Uncirculated and Proof versions, with four weight options. The 1 oz gold coin is the most popular, while the 1/2 oz coin is the largest fractional-ounce option. The 1/2 oz Gold Eagle was first released in 1986 for the BU Series and in 1987 for the Proof Series.
These 2025 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. They ship individually in protective flips or in plastic tubes for quantities of 40 coins.
