The 2025 1/2 oz British Gold Britannia Coins are available with protective plastic pouches for individual purchases. Multiples come in sealed sheets of 20 coins, all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins are equipped with four advanced security features on the reverse: a wave pattern background, a latent security element, micro-text around the design, and tincture lines on the Union Jack.
On the obverse of the 2025 British Gold Britannia, you’ll find the first-generation portrait of His Majesty King Charles III. This effigy, created by Martin Jennings in late 2022, replaced the portraits of Elizabeth II on British coinage and first appeared on the 2023 Britannia Coins. The left-profile relief shows Charles III without a crown.
The reverse side of 2025 1/2 oz Gold Britannia Coins features Britannia, depicted standing on coastal land. She holds a trident in one hand and an olive branch in the other, resting on the Union Jack shield. Britannia is also wearing a Corinthian helmet.
