You asked, so here it is — bundles of 100 New Hampshire 1 Goldback notes!

The 1 New Hampshire Goldback is the newest and most innovative way to acquire real, physical gold in a form that’s convenient for everyday use. These Goldback bills make buying physical gold affordable enough that anyone can do it!

Every Goldback is denominated in 1/1000th troy oz of gold (so this 1 Goldback has one milli-ounce, or 1/1000th troy oz, of physical gold at its core). The Goldback is created by latest-generation technology by Valaurum. Essentially, the process involves vacuum-depositing a precisely-measured quantity of atomized gold particles onto a thin, decorated sheet of polymer. The resulting note is then sealed by a second protective polymer barrier. The result is a surprisingly tough and durable note, almost paper-thin, containing a precisely-measured quantity of physical, 0.999 fine gold.

Every 1 New Hampshire Goldback is more than just a beautifully distinctive form of gold – it’s probably the most transaction-friendly gold you’ll find. (Note this is not a form of “legal tender” – instead, it’s an “experimental sound money project within the states that authorize its use as such,” according to the inventors.) Having gotten the legal disclaimer out of the way, Goldbacks are suitable for barter anywhere. Imagine offering to pay your plumber or mechanic in Goldbacks rather than dollars – do you think they’d say yes? According to research done by the Goldback team, nearly 50% of small businesses are delighted to accept payment in Goldbacks.

We could be looking at the sound money of the future here…

All in all, we couldn’t be more excited to offer the first-ever genuine gold-backed note to discerning BullionMax shoppers. A word of warning, though – Goldbacks sell out fast! So if you want real gold that’s easy to spend or barter, better get yours now…

A closer look at the 1 New HampshireGoldback note

The 1 Goldback denomination’s New Hampshire design features the virtue Gratia. Here’s a tour of the design, straight from the horse’s mouth:

In her first appearance on a Goldback series, Gratia, or Grace, is featured on the New Hampshire 1 Goldback Denomination. She is depicted as an Abanaki Native American woman from the Algonquin tribes, who have history in the area. She is wearing a traditional dress and beads in front of an Abenaki wigwam. She is accompanied by a river otter, representing resourcefulness and finding joy in the moment with both attributes being key parts of grace and leading a balanced life. Also present in the symbolism of this design are many elements of Jewish and Christian cultures. This design particularly indicates the Jewish Festival/Feast of Trumpets, Rosh Hashanah, being celebrated alongside the Thanksgiving Holiday. Elements of these celebrations include: the Shofar trumpet next to the wigwam door, the pumpkin, corn, beans, chestnuts, and honeycomb represented by the beehive in the tree.

Gratia can be seen gathering chestnuts and pondering, with the caption below reading “Give Thanks”. This is to acknowledge that the bounties that we are provided with must be worked for to be gathered in, but that we should also be thankful for them. Additionally, the chestnuts remain uncracked, more deeply symbolizing the work needing to be done by the founding fathers of the United States of America in order to bring about the nation where we could enjoy the freedoms that we do. One of the reasons that Thanksgiving Day is represented in the New Hampshire series here is because of Sarah Joseph, a native resident of New Hampshire, who was key in bringing Thanksgiving Day about as a national holiday. In the background are elements nodding to, and representing, the many ancient artifacts and “American Stonehenge” that can both be found in New Hampshire and indicate the rich cultural heritage of the area that predates more modern colonization.

What is a Goldback?

We love gold coins, but when it comes to spending them, well, it’s easier said than done. Even smaller fractional gold coins just aren’t suitable for small, everyday purchases. Who wants to hand over a gram of gold for a Big Gulp at 7-11? Fortunately, some very smart folks saw the challenges that prevent wider adoption of actually using physical gold for everyday transactions, and they solved it by inventing the Goldback.

Here’s what its inventors have to say about it:

The Goldback® is the world’s first physical, interchangeable, gold money, that is designed to accommodate even small transactions.
