You want to buy gold in a way that’s affordable, in a form that’s easy to identify, carry and use. The Goldbacks series of real gold notes is exactly what you’re looking for…

Goldbacks are not a currency, not exactly. Rather they’re a private-issue barter note (think of them as a voluntary currency, a totally different and intrinsically-valuable form of money). The true genius of the Goldback is that it makes it possible for everyday Americans to buy gold bullion thanks to their tiny fractional weights, ranging from 1/1000th oz to the largest goldback, this 50/1000th oz (or 1/20th oz) Utah 50 Goldbacks note.

Every single goldback has its own individual serial number for easy verification (along with a variety of built-in anti-counterfeiting technologies). Goldbacks are formed from a core of precisely-weighed gold foil encased in rugged polymer, so they’re as easy to carry and use as paper money. Even better, the variety of denominations available, all the way down to the 1/1000th oz 1 goldback note, make it possible to actually spend your gold in much more precise increments! (Ever wonder how you’d barter for a tank of gas and a candy bar at the corner store with an American eagle gold coin? Now you don’t have to!)

Goldbacks are by far the most innovative and exciting way to buy gold bullion today – and they’re exceptionally affordable! We sell out of Goldbacks constantly, they’re just too popular. So if you want to get your hands on the biggest of the Utah Goldback gold notes, better buy it now!

Utah 50 Goldbacks 1/20th oz pure gold note highlights:

  • Contains 50/1000 oz (that’sr 1/20th oz) of fully-recoverable 0.999 pure gold
  • Just two of these 50 Goldbacks notes equals the gold content of a 1/10 oz American gold eagle!
  • Flexible, durable and beautiful wildly popular among collectors and sound money enthusiasts
  • Unique serial numbers for easy verification
  • The largest of five Utah Goldbacks (1, 5, 10, 25 and 50/1000th oz gold)
  • Printed by Valaurum, inventors of the never-counterfeited Aurum pure gold note
  • The most affordable way for Americans of any income level to buy and use fractional gold – ideal for bug-out bags and SHTF emergency caches

The design of the Utah 50 Goldbacks gold note

One of the best things about the Utah Goldbacks series isn’t only that they’re an easy-to-buy, user-friendly (and affordable) form of gold bullion. On top of all that, they’re absolutely beautiful…

The series features expertly hand-drawn artwork that includes elements unique to Utah’s culture, history and landscape. Each design showcases a “virtue” embodied as a woman in historical dress and context.

The Utah 50 Goldback note features the virtue Libertas, or Liberty. She’s shown beside an evergreen, holding up both hands over her head. In one, she clutches a torch, while in the other she holds a chalice. Her head is thrown back, her eyes cast to heaven as if in prayer or praise. Liberty is depicted as a perfected, angelic woman, having reached a fullness of blessings through the proper employment of Liberty in life. This design is rich with symbols, including the torch in her right hand symbolizing enlightenment, an overflowing cup in her left to represent the blood of Christ. That’s one interpretation – a competing exegesis claims that the torch and chalice represent more ancient pre-Christian symbols, the mortar and pestle symbolizing masculine and feminine virtues unified into a single principle. (That’s part of the fun of symbolism – it’s open to interpretation, like your own little miniature version of The DaVinci Code.)

Liberty’s sheathed sword is on her belt, and her shield stands next to her. Both remind us that the free must always be ready to fight to preserve their liberties – and also that we must be willing to fight for freedom in the first place. Though you will sometimes see unarmed representations of Liberty (such as the Statue of Liberty), it’s a lot more common for symbols of freedom to have their weapons near to hand.

The figure of Libertas dates back to ancient Greece as the goddess of victory Nike (yeah, the shoes are named after her) who became Libertas (Liberty) in Roman mythology. She’s inspired countless designs over the centuries, from the Great Seal of France in 1848, the female personifications of Columbia and Marianne, the UK’s Britannia and the Statue of Liberty.

And these designs aren’t just beautiful, they’re also embedded with anti-counterfeiting measures, including:

  • The negative image on the back can be seen and felt
  • Crystallization and tessellation patterns in each design
  • Deposited gold retains patterns
  • Individual serial numbers

How do you prepare packages for shipment?
All your purchased products are packaged under video surveillance to ensure quality control and packages are carefully and discreetly wrapped in generic corrugated boxes.

How do you ship my order?
We ship via Registered/Insured U.S. Postal Service and UPS in discreet, secure packaging. Each package is fully insured and may require a signature upon delivery. Packages take 1-10 business days for delivery. We’ll send your tracking number by email when your order ships.

Is my order insured while in transit?
Yes, BullionMax fully insures all of its shipments. Should anything happen while your package is in transit to you, it will be covered by our insurance policy.
However, we will not accept responsibility if you have left instructions with any carriers or delivery services to leave parcels unattended for you without the need for a signature, or if you have given the carrier instructions to leave your package with anyone other than the addressee. This includes but is not limited to a building manager, neighbor, a business mailroom, drop-off location such as Mail Boxes, etc., The UPS Store, the Military Postal Service, etc.
Additionally, we will not assume responsibility for packages that are signed for by apartment/complex building management, a business mailroom, the Military Postal Service, or any person(s) that are not the addressee listed on the order. When we ship to you, if metals are lost or damaged in transit, it is our responsibility to pursue any claim with the insurance company. If we determine the package is lost or damaged, we file a claim.
We reserve the right to re-ship your items or refund your money at our discretion.

Can you ship my order to my post office box?
No, we cannot ship to a post office box.

Do I have to sign for my shipment?
Packages we ship may not require a signature for delivery. Expedited shipping, whether via UPS or the U.S. Postal Service, requires a signature for delivery.

Do you ship to U.S. territories?
We do not ship to US territories. Due to special requirements set by the postal systems, we are unable to ship outside of U.S. states.

What does “No Will Call” mean?
All UPS shipments ship with a “No Will Call” restriction, meaning the package cannot be picked up from a UPS location or just left at the delivery address. This is a precaution to prevent orders from being fraudulently intercepted. UPS will make three delivery attempts. If nobody is available at the delivery address to sign and accept delivery, the package will be returned to us.

Where do you ship orders from?
All orders will ship from our warehouse in Los Angeles, California. We conceal the return address on all packages so as to not hint at the contents of the package.

Do you offer UPS shipping to Alaska and Hawaii?
No, we do not. The costs of shipping to these states are extremely prohibitive, so we utilize USPS on all shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.

Do we ship to P.O. Boxes?
No, we do not. Sorry.

Do you ship to UPS store locations?
No. UPS 3-Day Air service excludes shipments to UPS Stores, as well as Alaska, Hawaii and APO addresses.

My package appears to have been damaged or tampered with. What should I do?
We recommend you refuse any shipment that appears to be damaged or tampered with because the shipping insurance ends once signed for and/or delivered. When refused, the package(s) will return to BullionMax for inspection.
If you have taken possession of a damaged or tampered package, please save all packaging and contact call us at (800) 729-3202 during normal business hours of 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PT) Monday – Friday within 48 hours for further instructions. Failure to notify us of damage or tampering within 48 hours from signature or delivery date may impact our ability to cover your claim.

What happens if my order is lost in transit?
We see very few delivery issues with our carriers, but sometimes delays do occur. In those situations, we appreciate your patience to wait a little longer for your package (at least 7 business days) before contacting us. Should the package not arrive, an investigation of the shipment is required before any order is reshipped or refunded. We may ask you to file a police report if it appears loss is due to theft or tampering. Your assistance speeds up the investigation and the sooner we complete it, the sooner we can resolve the missing order.
