Hawaii, the only U.S. state made up entirely of islands, is located in Oceania and boasts a rich Polynesian culture, breathtaking beaches, and stunning volcanic landscapes. Among its eight main islands, Honolulu on Oahu serves as the state capital. Now, you can celebrate Hawaii with the 1 oz Colorized Scottsdale Hawaii State Flag Silver Bar, available at BullionMax.
Bar Highlights:
Each 1 oz Colorized Scottsdale Hawaii State Flag Silver Bar comes individually protected in a capsule, making it easy to keep it in top condition. The Scottsdale Flag Bar Series presents a shared obverse design across all bars, while the reverse highlights a unique flag image. This series honors all 50 U.S. state flags and includes four national flags as well.
The obverse of the Colorized Scottsdale Hawaii State Flag Silver Bar presents the Scottsdale Lion, the official symbol of Scottsdale Mint. This crowned lion is displayed in front-facing relief on the right side of the bar, with the words “Scottsdale Mint” engraved on the left. Important details, like the weight and purity, are engraved at the top of the bar.
On the reverse of the 1 oz Colorized Hawaii State Flag Silver Bar, you’ll see the Hawaii state flag. The flag’s eight stripes represent Hawaii’s eight main islands: Hawaii (the Big Island), Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Niihau, and Kahoolawe. The red, white, and blue color scheme reflects Hawaii’s status as a U.S. state, while the red and white stripes are also said to represent the major Hawaiian gods: Ku, Lono, Kane, and Kanaloa, along with Kanaloa’s companion, Kapo.
The inclusion of the Union Jack reflects Hawaii’s complex history. It acknowledges the period when Hawaii was under British protection, particularly during the reign of King Kamehameha I. The British flag was first given to Kamehameha I by British Captain George Vancouver as a symbol of friendship in 1793. Despite never being officially controlled by the British, the Hawaiian Kingdom continued to use the Union Jack as a sign of respect and alliance.
