Product Details

The Buffalo Nickel, also known as the Indian Head Nickel, was a five-cent coin minted by the United States from 1913 to 1938. Designed by James Earle Fraser, the imagery from this historic US coin is one of the most replicated in the modern bullion market. Right now, 1 oz Asahi Buffalo Silver Rounds are available to purchase online at BullionMax.

Round Highlights:

  • Arrives in protective flips, plastic tubes of 20 rounds, or boxes of 100 rounds!
  • Impressive replication of the Buffalo Nickel design!
  • Created by Asahi Refining!
  • Frosted design strikes on mirrored fields!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Indigenous figure in right-profile relief on the obverse.
  • American bison on the reverse.

Each 1 oz Asahi Buffalo Silver Round is presented with individual protective flips. Multiples are offered in plastic tubes of 20 rounds or in boxes of 100 rounds. Each box holds a total of five tubes of 20 rounds reach.

James Earle Fraser’s popular design from the Buffalo Nickel was created in 1913 and used on the five-cent piece until 1938. It was later revived by the United States Mint in 2006 for the American Gold Buffalo bullion coin and is featured on a wide range of silver rounds, silver bars, and copper rounds from private mints.

In the obverse design of the Asahi Buffalo Silver Round, the mint depicts a Native American chief in profile, believed to be a composite portrait of three different tribal chiefs.

For the reverse side of each 1 oz Buffalo Silver Round, Asahi showcases a powerful image of an American bison, commonly referred to as a buffalo. This design aimed to capture the spirit of the American West.
