The obverse of the 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar features George T. Morgan’s detailed design of Lady Liberty. She is shown in left-profile wearing a Phrygian cap, along with a coronet and a laurel wreath in her hair. Surrounding her bust are 13 stars representing the original colonies.

On the reverse side of the 1881-S Morgan Dollar, Morgan designed a heraldic eagle. This classic American symbol shows the bald eagle in a front-facing position, holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing war and peace. While it doesn’t include the national shield, the eagle’s confident posture makes it a timeless design.

In 1881, the Morgan Dollar was struck at several mints, including Philadelphia, Carson City, New Orleans, and San Francisco. Of these, San Francisco produced the highest number of circulation coins.

The coins offered here are certified MS65, meaning they exhibit strong mint luster and minimal contact marks, ensuring an attractive overall appearance.
