The obverse side of the 1883-O Morgan Silver Dollar showcases Lady Liberty in a graceful left-profile relief. The model for Liberty’s image was reportedly Anna Willes Williams. She is portrayed wearing a Phrygian cap, a laurel wreath, and a coronet crown. Surrounding her image is a ring of 13 stars, symbolizing the original states of the union.

On the reverse side of the 1883-O Morgan Dollar, you will find the heraldic eagle. Unlike other designs, this version does not include a national shield. The eagle is depicted front-facing with its wings fully spread. Its talons grasp both the arrows of war and an olive branch, symbolizing the balance between conflict and peace.

In 1883, the Morgan Dollar was issued in four circulation versions, alongside a limited number of proof coins from the Philadelphia Mint. The New Orleans Mint produced a total of 8.725 million coins, making it the second-highest mintage after Philadelphia’s 12.29 million coins. Additionally, the San Francisco Mint struck 6.25 million coins, while the Carson City Mint issued 1.2 million coins.

These 1883-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coins come in protective plastic flips. If you order multiple coins, they will be packaged in groups of 20. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
