The Carson City Mint opened in 1870 to take advantage of the local silver mines in Nevada. It contributed to Morgan Dollar production by striking coins from 1878 to 1885. After a pause in production from 1886 to 1888, the mint returned to producing Morgan Dollars from 1889 to 1893 before closing its doors for good.

Each of the 1891-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Coins comes with a protective flip. If you order multiples, they will ship in plastic tubes containing 20 coins, if available. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

On the obverse of the 1891-CC Morgan Dollar Coin, you’ll find a bust of Lady Liberty. This design features Liberty in left-profile relief, adorned with a Phrygian cap, laurel wreath, and coronet crown. Surrounding her image is a ring of 13 stars, representing the original American Colonies.

The reverse of the 1891-CC Morgan Silver Dollar depicts the heraldic eagle. Created by George T. Morgan, this design shows the bald eagle in a front-facing position with its wings spread wide. The eagle holds the arrows of war in one talon and an olive branch symbolizing peace in the other.
