The 1999 1/2 oz Australian Lunar Rabbit Coin’s obverse depicts the regal effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. Elizabeth II appears in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland diamond diadem crown.
The reverse of the 1999 Australian Silver Lunar Rabbit Coin design features a rabbit standing in the grass. Surrounding the central rabbit design are inscriptions indicating the coin’s weight, purity, year, and the Chinese symbol for “Rabbit.” Additionally, the P100 privy mark is included to mark the centennial anniversary of the Perth Mint’s founding.
