The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf was one of the first silver bullion coins offered to investors. Introduced in 1988, it was also the first silver coin in the world with .9999 pure silver content. Since then, the Silver Maple Leaf has been released each year with a 1 oz silver coin. Now, 2010 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Monster Boxes are available from BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
The Canadian Maple Leaf coin program began in 1979 with the introduction of 1 oz gold coins from the Royal Canadian Mint. Over the following decades, the series expanded with additional gold weights and new precious metal options, including the 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf in 1988. That same year, the Platinum Maple Leaf was also introduced, broadening the series’ appeal.
Each 2010 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Monster Box available here contains 500 individual coins in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These Monster Boxes hold 20 tubes, with each tube containing 25 coins. The coins are securely packaged to protect their condition.
On the obverse of the 2010 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is a right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This depiction, designed by Susanna Blunt in 2003, shows the Queen without a crown, offering a simple and modern representation. This design has been used on the Canadian Maple Leafs since 2004.
The reverse side of 2010 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf Coins features the sugar maple leaf, one of Canada’s most iconic symbols. Walter Ott’s design, created in 1979, shows a single maple leaf with intricate details that represent the natural beauty of this national emblem.
