Every 2012 1 Kilo Australian Silver Koala Coin is encased in a plastic flip for protection. These coins are crafted from .999 fine silver and represent the largest coins in the Silver Koala Series.

The obverse of the 2012 1 Kilo Australian Koala Coin features Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The Queen is depicted wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Diamond Tiara, showcasing her elegance and grace.

On the reverse of this 2012 Australian Silver Koala Coin, you’ll find a detailed image of a koala in the right profile, holding onto a tree branch. Surrounding the koala are the coin’s identifying marks, including the Perth Mint’s “P” mint mark.

The Australian Silver Coin Series started in 2007 with just a 1 oz option. By 2008, three additional sizes (1 kilogram, 10 oz, and 1/2 oz) were introduced.
