In 2016, the US Mint issued two versions of the Proof American Silver Liberty Medal. Both versions featured the same designs, but they were minted at different facilities. The 2016-W medals were struck at the West Point Mint with a “W” mint mark, while the 2016-S medals were produced at the San Francisco Mint with an “S” mint mark.
