A delightful numismatic celebration of the Year of the Tiger, this highly original antiqued 1 oz silver coin features a novel rotating charm shaped like an ancient Chinese portrayal of the tiger. The tiger charm is sterling silver plated with 18 carat gold, offering a bright contrast to the rest of the coin. Securely held in place by a pin through the center of the silver coin, the tiger charm or bead spins freely – making it the ideal desktop toy for idle hands to fidget with…

The charm is surrounded by artistic portrayals of tigers on the reverse, each with stripes on its forehead representing the Chinese character for ‘king’ along with weight, 0.9999 silver purity and Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Both sides of this silver coin have been individually “antiqued” by hand to give a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artifact. As a result of this painstaking treatment, the appearance of each coin in the mintage may vary.

Better yet, this unique coin arrives in presentation packaging! Not only is your 2022 Year of the Tiger antiqued silver charm coin presented in a classic black display case with a clear lid,  that’s enclosed in a gifting-ready themed shipper. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity straight from Perth Mint.

This is a fantastic birthday, graduation, anniversary or baby shower gift to celebrate milestones and life-changing events that occur during the Year of the Tiger. With its innovative and fun design, spectacularly classy presentation and one-of-a-kind look, we don’t expect our 2022 tiger charm silver coins to last long. Celebrate before it’s too late!

2022 1 oz Year of the Tiger silver rotating charm coin highlights:

  • Beautiful contrast between the bright gold bead in the center, silver’s gleam and the dark, antiqued finish really make this coin stand out
  • Mintage limited to just 3,000 total coins
  • Truly innovative and fun design minted in 1 troy oz of 0.9999 pure silver with 18 carat gold accents
  • Makes a memorable gift to celebrate any milestone or event occurring during the Year of the Tiger: weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, birthdays… (You don’t even need to wrap it!)
  • Arrives in gift-ready presentation packaging! Presented in a classic black display case with a clear lid and stylishly themed shipper, accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity from Perth Mint

Traditional Chinese symbolism associated with the tiger

According to Dr. Lan Lo, a Mandarin language lecturer at the University of Nottingham, tigers symbolize strength first and foremost, but also bravery. But tigers aren’t impulsive, overconfident types – this zodiacal sign also confers the foresight and wisdom that makes truly great leaders.

The tiger is known as "king of the beasts" throughout Chinese culture. Images of tigers have been found on talismans soldiers carried into battle in ancient times. Because they were kings of the earthly realm, tigers were also thought to have the power to exorcise demons and evil spirits. Generals wore armor emblazoned with tigers both as marks of bravery and of leadership.

Tigers play a large role in idiomatic Chinese, as well. Here are a few of my favorite sayings:

He who rides a tiger is afraid to dismount.

Don't strike a flea on a tiger's head.

Excellent advice!

A fight between a dragon and a tiger.

This describes a struggle between two equally-balanced forces. (As the tiger is the king of the beasts, and by extension of the physical realm, the dragon is both the king and most powerful force in the non-physical or spiritual realm.)

One day as a tiger is worth a thousand as a sheep.

I couldn’t agree more!

Is my order insured while in transit?
Yes, BullionMax fully insures all of its shipments. Should anything happen while your package is in transit to you, it will be covered by our insurance policy.
However, we will not accept responsibility if you have left instructions with any carriers or delivery services to leave parcels unattended for you without the need for a signature, or if you have given the carrier instructions to leave your package with anyone other than the addressee. This includes but is not limited to a building manager, neighbor, a business mailroom, drop-off location such as Mail Boxes, etc., The UPS Store, the Military Postal Service, etc.
Additionally, we will not assume responsibility for packages that are signed for by apartment/complex building management, a business mailroom, the Military Postal Service, or any person(s) that are not the addressee listed on the order. When we ship to you, if metals are lost or damaged in transit, it is our responsibility to pursue any claim with the insurance company. What does “No Will Call” mean?
All UPS shipments ship with a “No Will Call” restriction, meaning the package cannot be picked up from a UPS location or just left at the delivery address. If nobody is available at the delivery address to sign and accept delivery, the package will be returned to us.

Where do you ship orders from?
All orders will ship from our warehouse in Los Angeles, California. We conceal the return address on all packages so as to not hint at the contents of the package.

Do we ship to P.O. Boxes?
No, we do not. Sorry.

No. UPS 3-Day Air service excludes shipments to UPS Stores, as well as Alaska, Hawaii and APO addresses.

My package appears to have been damaged or tampered with. What should I do?
We recommend you refuse any shipment that appears to be damaged or tampered with because the shipping insurance ends once signed for and/or delivered. When refused, the package(s) will return to BullionMax for inspection.
If you have taken possession of a damaged or tampered package, please save all packaging and contact call us at (800) 729-3202 during normal business hours of 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PT) Monday – Friday within 48 hours for further instructions. Failure to notify us of damage or tampering within 48 hours from signature or delivery date may impact our ability to cover your claim.

What happens if my order is lost in transit?
We see very few delivery issues with our carriers, but sometimes delays do occur. In those situations, we appreciate your patience to wait a little longer for your package (at least 7 business days) before contacting us. Should the package not arrive, an investigation of the shipment is required before any order is reshipped or refunded. We may ask you to file a police report if it appears loss is due to theft or tampering. Your assistance speeds up the investigation and the sooner we complete it, the sooner we can resolve the missing order.
