The Peace Silver Dollar and the Morgan Silver Dollar are two of the most renowned silver dollars. In 2021, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the transition from the Morgan to the Peace Dollar, the US Mint reintroduced both coins as silver bullion. After a brief hiatus in 2022, these coins made a triumphant return in 2023 and continue to be available in 2024.
The obverse side of the 2024 Peace Dollar Coin features Lady Liberty, a design created by Anthony de Francisci using his wife, Teresa, as the model. Lady Liberty is depicted in left-profile relief, adorned with a radiant crown.
On the reverse side of the 2024 Silver Dollar Coin, you’ll find a majestic bald eagle perched on a rock, also designed by Francisci. The eagle is shown in right-profile relief, surrounded by the coin’s identifying marks and a rising sun at the bottom.
