During the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, production of Proof Silver Eagles moved among different US Mint branches. From 1993 to 2000, the Philadelphia Mint handled the exclusive production. Then, from 2001 to 2018, the West Point Mint took over as the sole producer of these coins. In 2019, the San Francisco Mint began striking the Proof Silver Eagles again, offering S-Proof versions each year alongside the West Point Mint’s W-Proof coins.

The American flag is gracefully draped around her figure.

On the reverse, the 2024-S 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Coin displays a modern portrayal of the American bald eagle. This design, introduced by the US Mint in July 2021, was created by Emily Damstra and captures the eagle in a dynamic left-profile pose as it swoops downward, wings raised, clutching an oak branch in its talons.
