Each 2024-W 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagle Coin here is housed in an NGC plastic slab to keep its Mint State 70 grade intact. Coins in this grade show full, original mint luster without any flaws. Early Release coins are those the NGC gets for certification within 30 days of the mint’s release.
The first Burnished Silver Eagles were released in 2006, marking the 20th anniversary of the Silver Eagle Series. These coins use specially polished blanks to create a matte finish. Burnished Silver Eagles are only available in 1 oz silver and have been issued between 2006-2008, and annually since 2011.
The obverse of the 2024-W Burnished American Silver Eagles showcases the famous Walking Liberty design. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, it shows Liberty in left-profile as she walks towards the sunrise. Draped in the American flag, she carries branches of oak and laurel.
On the reverse of the 2024-W 1 oz Burnished Silver Eagle Coins, you’ll see a modern depiction of the American bald eagle. Designed by Emily Damstra in 2020, this image of a bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons began appearing on the coins in 2021 for the series’ 35th anniversary.
