Burnished Eagles are part of the Gold Eagle and Silver Eagle Series. Launched in 2006, these coins come in four gold weights and a single 1 oz silver option. After a break in 2009 and 2010, Burnished Eagles returned in 2011, with the gold series now limited to a 1 oz coin and the silver series maintaining its 1 oz offering.

The obverse of the 2024-W Burnished American Silver Eagles features Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this image was initially used on the US Half Dollar until 1947. It shows Liberty in left-profile relief, walking toward the sun with her right hand outstretched and the American flag draped around her figure.

The reverse side of the 2024-W 1 oz Burnished Silver Eagle Coins showcases an image of the American bald eagle. Redesigned in 2021 by Emily Damstra, this design shows the eagle in flight, swooping down with flexed wings and talons clutching an oak branch.
