These sets are a nod to more than just a historical figure. Jefferson was a polymath with diverse interests and talents. He was well-versed in architecture, horticulture, paleontology, and classical languages. His extensive library formed the basis of the Library of Congress after it was burned by the British during the War of 1812.

Your Thomas Jefferson President Monticello Reverse Coin Set will arrive in a presentation box, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Each set contains 20 nickels, each adorned with 24-karat gold plating courtesy of Merrick Mint. We cannot guarantee specific date marks in advance.

On the obverse side of these nickels, you’ll find President Jefferson’s left-profile bust, designed by Felix Schlag. This classic image adorned the US Nickel until 2004.

Meanwhile, the reverse side boasts a depiction of Monticello, also created by Schlag in 1938. Although briefly replaced in the early 2000s, this timeless design returned in 2006 and has remained since.
