Product details

With all the same characteristics of the famous 1-ounce gold American Eagle bullion coins, except size and weight, the 1/2-oz versions are ideal for investors and collectors alike. These coins, like the three other main sizes in the series, are guaranteed by the United States government.

With gold’s rally over the last handful of years, these lower-cost versions of the gold American eagles have only become more popular. Like their larger brothers, the 1/2-oz versions are 22-karat and guaranteed for their weight, purity, and content.

The obverse (front) side of the 1/2-oz gold American eagle is emblazoned with Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ Lady Liberty. The reverse (back) side features the male eagle flying above a female and their eaglet in a nest. The inscriptions on these coins denote a face value of $25 and the coin’s mintmark.

Coin Features:

  • Weight of 1/2 troy ounce of gold
  • 22-karat gold purity
  • Full backing by the United States government
  • Face value of $25
  • Minted at West Point, NY by the U.S. Mint, Department of the Treasury
